Why design your garden?

Each garden has individual characteristics, which need to be 
analysed before developing ideas. DIY Gardening is usually 
created around this seasons fashions, which look dated by the
the following year. Good design does not date.

The majority of gardens are not designed, so people end up 
admiring other gardens without being satisfied with their own. 

Things to consider include the following:
 
• Who will use the garden?
• Which parts are sunny throughout the day?
• How exposed is your site and how good is the drainage?
• What are the eyesores and positive aspects within and surrounding
   the garden?
• Which type and style of plants are best suited to your garden?
• Which type of elements and materials will compliment your 
   house and surroundings?
